Mountain Wings is a full service Aero Sports flight shop servicing the North East.  We feature training, repairs, sales and service of all Hang Gliding and Ultra light Aero Sports. 

Here you can explore the exciting world of personal Aero-Sports.  Whether you are beginning to explore the wonders of flight or are an experienced Hang Glider pilot, you will find the service and support you are looking for.

Mountain Wings sits at the foot of the Ellenville Mountain site which is considered the "Hang Gliding Capital of the Northeast." It boasts a distance record of 98 miles and a duration record of 11-1/2 hours. Our most frequently used training hill is at the base of the mountain and students can just turn their eyes skyward to catch a glimpse of pilots soaring and anticipate the thrill that they may soon experience.

Hang gliding is a sport that is somewhat dependent on weather conditions since gliders must launch and land facing into the wind. Mountain Wings offers four gently sloped bunny hills facing different directions so that you will always be able to fly if wind conditions safely allow it.

Packages and Prices

INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM  - $150

This program introduces you to Hang Gliding.  Discover what the sport is all about with a complete ground school, simulator time, and an afternoon of flying on the training hill.   $120.00 of this course fee may be applied to package upgrades at the end of the day only.

EAGLE PROGRAM - $1495

This is the most popular lesson package we offer. It includes all of the above and more. Take up to 10 days to complete your training and master your flying skills. You are a pilot after finishing this course. The package includes four high altitude flights in our equipment. You will be in complete radio contact with our certified instructors throughout the entire flight. This will hook you on Hang Gliding for sure.  Price includes a  $200.00 coupon towards a new glider purchase*, Flight Manual and membership in the U.S.H.G.A.  ($59.00 value) included.

OTHER INFORMATION

• The Eagle Packages include all testing required for the USHGA ratings. Processing of ratings is $15.00 extra and payable to USHGA.
• Use of all Hang Gliding equipment is included
• Private lessons -$350.00 a day (mid week only)
• Semi Private lessons-$180.00 (2-3 people mid week)
